Competency 6: after installation, prove correct operation before handover. Sequence: mechanical inspection (torque, labels, drip loops), polarity checks at every point, then energise in order — battery breaker, PV breaker, watch the controller enter charge mode, inverter on, test each AC circuit under load. Record: Voc per string, charge amps at solar noon, battery voltage, AC output voltage and frequency. Sign it, date it, photograph it, and give the customer a copy with the maintenance schedule.
