This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan and monitor production processes, including identifying the production processes required to achieve targets; establishing production targets for each enterprise and each product, crop, herd or flock; and monitoring and evaluating production processes. This unit applies to individuals who work in agribusiness management roles where they take personal responsibility and exercise autonomy in undertaking complex work. They analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of advanced skilled activities. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, work health and safety legislation and codes, and sustainability practices. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
