This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to work in an emergency environment where there is a response to a biosecurity threat. The unit applies to individuals who have been appointed or engaged to undertake and support an emergency response. They work under broad supervision and take responsibility for their own work including limited responsibility for the work of others. They use discretion and judgement in the selection, allocation and use of available resources. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
