This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to implement procedures to restrict the movement of vehicles, personnel, resources, animals and plant material when engaged in a response to a biosecurity incursion. The unit applies to individuals who have been appointed or engaged to undertake a role within an emergency disease or pest incursion response. They work under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work, including limited responsibility for the work of others. They provide and communicate solutions to a range of predictable problems. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
