This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to manage and implement a biosecurity emergency control program. The unit applies to individuals who have been appointed or engaged to undertake an operations management role within a biosecurity emergency incursion response and who take personal responsibility for their own work and the work of others and exercise autonomy in undertaking complex work. They analyse information and demonstrate deep knowledge in a specific technical area. They design and communicate solutions to sometimes complex problems. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
