Learning Outcomes

This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to use technology and tools necessary to conduct Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander sites work. The unit applies to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander sites workers utilising technology on Country and in an office environment to assist them in their work. The unit applies to working either as an autonomous sites worker or under the appropriate supervision of the Cultural Authority of Traditional Owners or Elders for specific Country and is also applicable to the work of rangers, repatriation workers and anthropologists. On Country refers to the land, sea and waterways. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
