This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to access drainage lines, repair irrigation drainage systems, clear blockages and maintain drainage earthworks and equipment of irrigation drainage systems. The unit applies to individuals who maintain and repair irrigation drainage systems under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
