This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to support native seed collection across a range of landscapes and environments. The unit applies to individuals who work under close supervision and undertake defined routine conservation activities and work in a structured context. Legislation, regulations and by-laws relating to the collection and removal of plant materials from public and private land apply nationally and in some states, territories and jurisdictions. Users are advised to check with the local, relevant authority.
