This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to manage natural areas on privately owned rural properties and enhance the sustainable ecological and economic capacity and outcomes of the land. The unit applies to individuals who manage land management projects and who analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of advanced skilled activities demonstrating a deep knowledge in specific technical areas within land management. They have accountability for the work of others and analyse, design and communicate solutions to a range of complex problems. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
