This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to identify and select explosive products and suitable mixtures that can be used for blasting for agricultural or land management purposes. The unit applies to individuals who work under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work. This includes using discretion and judgement in the selection and use of available resources. State or territory licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply in some jurisdictions.
