This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to read and interpret plans and drawings, mark out and peg a site from a plan and identify required components applicable to installing irrigation systems. The unit applies to individuals who interpret irrigation plans and drawings under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
