This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan and carry out sampling and testing of water quality as part of a monitoring program. The unit applies to individuals who work in the land management sector. They work under broad direction and use discretion and judgement in the selection, allocation and use of available resources and for problem solving.
