This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to assess formal applications for changes in land use against legislative requirements, and make recommendations to ensure compliance. The unit applies to individuals who analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of advanced skilled activities demonstrating a deep knowledge in specific technical areas for the use and management of land. They have accountability for the work of others and analyse, design and communicate solutions to a range of complex problems. Land usage legislation and regulations exist in all states and territories and must be adhered to. Users are advised to check with the relevant authority.
