This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to construct low-profile timber or modular retaining walls in landscape settings, including preparing for work, marking out site, preparing footings, installing wall components and cleaning up site. The unit applies to individuals who construct low-profile timber or modular retaining walls under general supervision with limited autonomy or accountability. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
