This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to arrange livestock purchases. The unit applies to individuals who apply specialist skills and knowledge to arrange livestock purchases. This includes applying and communicating non-routine technical solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace, and animal welfare legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines, and sustainability and biosecurity practices. This unit applies to livestock producers. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
