This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to arrange transport for farm produce or livestock. The unit applies to individuals who apply specialist skills and knowledge to arrange transport for farm produce or livestock. This includes applying and communicating non-routine technical solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, according to state/territory health and safety regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace, and animal welfare legislation, regulations, standards and guidelines, and sustainability and biosecurity practices. This unit applies to those whose job roles include arranging and coordinating the transport of farm produce, fodder or livestock. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
