This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to operate commercial lawnmowers to mow a lawn surface including preparation of site and equipment requirements, shutdown procedures and routine maintenance. The unit applies to individuals who operate commercial lawnmowers to undertake routine work under general supervision with limited autonomy and accountability. No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
