This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan, implement, monitor and review works projects conducted in catchments and waterways. This includes engaging and working with stakeholders and ensuring works meet environmental and project outcomes and priorities. The unit applies to individuals who are engaged in contract project works in catchments and waterways who take personal responsibility and exercise autonomy in undertaking work. They have accountability for the work of others and analyse, design and communicate solutions to a range of complex problems. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
