This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to gather information and advice on plant health, and develop, implement and evaluate a plant health management strategy. The unit applies to individuals who apply advanced skills and knowledge to develop and implement a plant health management strategy, and take personal responsibility and exercise autonomy in undertaking complex work. They analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of advanced skilled activities. They work in contexts that are subject to change, and adapt a range of fundamental principles accordingly. All work is carried out to comply with workplace procedures, health and safety in the workplace requirements, legislative and regulatory requirements, and sustainability and biosecurity practices.
