This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to implement a maintenance program for an aquatic environment, including preparing for maintenance activities, and maintaining aquatic organisms and water quality, in a park or garden setting. The unit applies to individuals who implement a maintenance program for an aquatic environment under broad direction, and take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of the work of others. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
