This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare parent material and budding and grafting materials for budding and grafting, and bud and graft trees, shrubs, vines and other plant types in nurseries or in-field situations. The unit applies to individuals who undertake field budding and grafting under general supervision with limited autonomy or accountability. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
