This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare handpieces and downtubes for machine shearing. This unit applies to individuals who work under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures and standards, health and safety regulations, and biosecurity requirements and practices. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements are known to apply to this unit at the time of publication.
