This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to develop, and apply knowledge through the provision of advice to others, of fertiliser and soil ameliorant products, including storage and handling. The unit applies to individuals who develop and apply knowledge of fertiliser and soil ameliorant products under broad direction and take responsibility for their own work. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, health and safety in the workplace requirements, legislative and regulatory requirements, and environment and biosecurity practices. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
