This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to plan and implement sports turf renovation activities, which involves the preparation of procedures, scheduling and coordination of staff, and monitoring and reviewing financial and renovation performance. The unit applies to greenkeepers and turf managers that use specialist skills to plan, coordinate and supervise the work of others within known parameters. They use discretion and judgment in the selection, allocation and use of available resources. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
