This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to monitor and maintain the supply of sheep to shearer catching pens. This unit applies to individuals who work under general supervision and exercise limited autonomy with some accountability for their own work. They identify and provide solutions to a limited range of predictable problems. All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures and standards, work health and safety (WHS), animal welfare, environmental sustainability and biosecurity requirements according to state/territory regulations, legislation and standards that apply to the workplace. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements are known to apply to this unit at the time of publication.
