This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to disassemble and pack a bicycle for transport. It involves the skills and knowledge required to prepare to pack a bicycle for transport, disassemble a bicycle, select appropriate packing material and pack a bicycle for transport following the relevant operating procedures and codes of practice required for the task whilst completing workplace processes and documentation. The unit applies to those working in the bicycle sales and service and repair industry. This unit does not apply to light and heavy vehicle engines. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
