This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to remove, inspect, repair and refit agricultural tyres and tubes from wheel assemblies. It involves identifying and confirming work requirements, preparing for the task, removing, inspecting, repairing and refitting the tyres and tubes, and completing workplace processes and documentation. The unit applies to those who work in the automotive service and repair industry. The tyres and tubes include those of agricultural machinery equipment. This unit does not apply to heavy commercial vehicles, off-the-road or earthmoving vehicles, light vehicles, motorcycles, or mobile plant machinery.
