This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to remove, inspect, repair and refit heavy vehicle tyres from wheel assemblies. Where the tyre configuration includes an inner tube, the unit also covers the removal, inspection, repair and refit of the tube. It involves identifying and confirming work requirements, preparing for the task, removing, inspecting, repairing and refitting the tyres and completing workplace processes and documentation.&nbsp; The unit applies to those who work in the automotive service and repair industry. The tyres include those of heavy commercial vehicles or mobile plant machinery. This unit does not apply to off-the-road (OTR) tyres of mobile plant machinery.&nbsp;
