This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to replace steering, suspension and braking system components that have been removed, and refit components into a vehicle. This involves preparing for the work, replacing the component, refitting the component and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those who undertake routine servicing tasks in the automotive retail, service and repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
