This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to assemble and fit braking system components to vehicles. It involves preparing for the task, assembling and fitting brake components, post-fitting testing, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive service and repair industry. The braking systems include those of vehicles in all sectors of the industry.
