This unit describes the performance outcomes required to prepare various glass surfaces of vehicles and apply window tinting material. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, producing templates according to window size and shape, cutting tint film, installing tint film on glass surface according to workplace procedures, cleaning and finishing window, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive glazing service and repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
