This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to remove and install framed type windscreens. This unit involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, removing the windscreen, applying sealants, installing the windscreen according to manufacturer specifications, cleaning and finishing it, and completing workplace processes and documentation. The unit applies to those who work in the automotive glazing service and repair industry.
