This unit describes the performance outcomes required to wash and clean vehicle engines, engine bays and components. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using cleaning equipment and materials, protecting engine components during cleaning process, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive detailing industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
