This unit describes the performance outcomes required to dismantle vehicle components according to workplace procedures. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using tools and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning, labelling and storing recycled components, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive parts recycling industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
