This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to remove, reassemble and align vehicle body panels as part of vehicle body repair activities. This unit involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, following original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or authorised agency specifications and workplace procedures. It also involves carrying out a final alignment inspection and completing workplace processes and documentation. The unit applies to those working in the automotive body service and repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
