This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to locate and apply original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or authorised agency recommended repair procedures during vehicle or component repair work. This unit involves preparing for the task, inspecting the vehicle damage, and identifying repair requirements according to OEM or authorised agency’s specifications, developing a repair plan, and completing workplace processes and documentation. The unit applies to those working in the automotive body repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
