This unit describes the performance outcomes required to restore vehicle body exterior paint. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, selecting and using polishing materials to restore painted vehicle exterior surfaces, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive paint refinishing repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
