This unit describes the performance outcomes required to apply basic airbrush techniques to a variety of vehicle panels and substrates. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, selecting designs and templates, applying refinishing materials according to workplace and customer instructions, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive paint refinishing repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
