This unit describes the performance outcomes required to measure, cut, repair, alter and attach automotive or marine covers or components. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, selecting materials, checking material quality, carrying out trim repairs or alterations, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive and marine trimming industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
