This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to measure, trim, assemble and fit automotive and marine frames, canopies and side curtains to manufacturer specifications. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist equipment and materials and completing workplace procedures and documentation. The unit applies to those undertake routine installation tasks in the automotive and marine trimming, service and repair industry. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
