This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to prepare and present written reports detailing conditions associated with buildings and structures of historic significance requiring restoration or preservation attention. Reports are completed for specific areas of work in accordance with individual building trade applications. The unit of competency supports builders, project managers and related construction industry professionals responsible for heritage restorations. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
