This unit of competency supports annual inspections of fire systems. The unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to research the applicable regulatory requirements for existing fire systems in all types of buildings and to assess compliance documentation to determine whether requirements are met. In some jurisdictions, this unit of competency may form part of accreditation, licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements.
