This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to establish, maintain and evaluate energy sector work health and safety (WHS)/occupational health and safety (OHS) systems. It includes understanding an organisation’s WHS/OHS obligations; determining and maintaining participative arrangements, procedures for hazard identification, risk assessment and control measures; procedures for dealing with hazardous incidents, safety training and safety records; and evaluating the safety system. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
