Lesson 2.3 — Threading & Assembly
Manual threading with taps and dies completes the bench module. Taps cut internal threads: taper first, then plug, then bottoming, with a half-turn back every full turn to break the chip. Dies cut external threads on rod and conduit. Lubricate, keep square, and test with the mating part. These hands teach precision — the same discipline your terminations will need inside a distribution board.
