This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to establish hydroponic crop nutrient requirements, supervise crop planting activities and monitor nutrient concentrations of hydroponic crops. The unit applies to individuals who apply specialised skills and knowledge in the establishment and monitoring of hydroponic crops and have the responsibility for the output of others. This includes applying and communicating non-routine technical solutions to predictable and unpredictable problems. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
