This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to prune shrubs and small trees that are less than three meters in height, including identifying pruning requirements, undertaking pruning and completing pruning work. The unit applies to individuals who prune shrubs and small trees under general supervision with limited autonomy or accountability. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
