This qualification describes the skills and knowledge for a range of entry level horticulture job roles. Individuals with this qualification carry out routine tasks under supervision where the work is predictable and structured with limited judgement requirements. The qualification is suited to VET programs delivered to secondary school students or learners with no previous connection to the horticulture industry or relevant employment history. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Packaging Rules
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in: 15 units of competency: 8 core units plus 7 elective units. Elective units must ensure the integrity of the qualification’s Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome. The electives are to be chosen as follows: 5 units must be from the electives listed below the remaining 2 units must be from the electives listed below, or any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course.
