This unit describes the performance outcomes required to apply heat using induction processes when repairing vehicle chassis and components. It involves preparing for the task, selecting and using specialist tools and equipment, identifying damage, operating heat induction equipment according to manufacturer specifications, completing repairs to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or authorised agency’s specifications, and completing workplace processes and documentation. It applies to those working in the automotive body repair industry. No licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

0371.E3.O2Work area is cleaned, waste and non-recyclable materials are disposed of, and recyclable material is collected and stored
