This qualification reflects the role of automotive body repair technicians who inspect vehicle damage and carry out a broad range of repair and restoration tasks on the body, structure and chassis of light and heavy vehicles in the automotive service and repair industry.  Workers in this role apply technical knowledge and hands-on skills to assess damage, select appropriate repair methods, and restore vehicles to manufacturer specifications, working safely and effectively across a variety of body repair contexts.
