This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to remove temporary bracing and propping supports from prefabricated concrete elements. It requires using appropriate tools, equipment, materials and working in a team environment to remove temporary supports. A person who has achieved this unit of competency would be expected to follow safety regulations and relevant specifications. Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required by anyone carrying out construction work. Achievement of CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement. E1Access the requirements to remove temporary supports from prefabricated concrete elements.
0525.E1.O1Check the erection design documentation, review task specifications and seek written approval of the project design engineer for the removal of temporary supports from relevant personnel.
